Sair Sapata, Bhopal is a major tourist and entertainment destination, located on the banks of the Upper Lake in Bhopal. The Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation developed it, spreading over an area of approximately 24 acres. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated it on 29 September 2011. The objective of the project is to promote tourism. It sits on the banks of the Upper Lake on Bhadbhada-Van Vihar Road and was launched with the Bhoomi Pujan on 27 May 2008.
The project includes constructing a beautiful suspension bridge connecting Prempura and Sewania, resembling the design of Rishikesh’s Laxman Jhula. It is also the main attraction of the picnic and its length is approximately 183 meters and width is 3.6 meters.
It features various activities like bike racing, car dashing, boating, forest hiking, and much more. This is a nice way to spend an evening in Bhopal. To expand tourism facilities, the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation developed promenades.
